FAQs

  • I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship patterns, attachment wounds, and overwhelming life experiences. My work is grounded in EMDR, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and relational approaches.

  • Yes. I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, and EMDR is my primary modality. I completed EMDR Basic Training in 2024 and received EMDRIA Certification in August 2025. I continue ongoing advanced EMDR consultation and training to support high-quality, trauma-informed care.

  • The first session is focused on understanding your history, symptoms, and goals. We explore what you’re hoping will feel different, discuss your strengths and resources, and create an initial plan for our work together. It’s also a chance to see how we feel as a therapeutic fit.

  • We’ll explore this together. EMDR can help if you feel stuck in certain patterns, get triggered easily, carry emotional pain from past events, or want deeper healing rather than surface-level coping strategies. We’ll discuss your readiness and ensure it’s a supportive fit for your nervous system.

  • No. You never have to share details you’re not comfortable sharing. EMDR doesn’t require you to retell everything. We focus on what your brain and body are experiencing in the present moment, and you stay in control at all times.

  • It depends on your goals, history, and the pace your nervous system needs. Some clients see improvements within weeks; others benefit from deeper, longer-term work. We’ll regularly discuss progress and collaborate on treatment direction.

  • I only provide secure telehealth sessions to clients located in San Francisco and across California. EMDR can also be effectively provided through telehealth when clinically appropriate. If I assess that in-person is crucial for you in your treatment, I will provider referrals.

  • Clients often find telehealth EMDR just as effective as in-person work. I’ll guide you in setting up your space, using bilateral stimulation tools, and staying grounded so you feel supported throughout the process.

  • I am an out-of-network provider. If you have PPO benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill for potential reimbursement depending on your insurance plan.

  • My fee for individual therapy is $200 per 50–55 minute session. I do not offer sliding scale at this time. Payment is due at the time of service.

  • I require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions changed with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee. If I have availability within the same week, I may be able to reschedule your appointment as a courtesy, though this cannot be guaranteed.

  • You can book a free 15-minute consultation directly through the “Work With Me” button or via the Contact page. This gives us a chance to connect, discuss your goals, and determine whether we’re a good fit.

  • Yes. Everything you share is confidential except in specific situations required by law (such as concerns for your safety or the safety of others). I review all confidentiality policies in our informed consent.

  • Absolutely. Beginning therapy takes courage. We’ll go at your pace, focus on safety and stabilization, and create a grounded environment where you feel supported throughout the process.
