EMDR and Trauma Therapy for Adults in California and texas

You Can Feel Solid in Yourself Again.

Meet Yana Nogid, LMFT

Hi, I’m Yana.

If you’re here, something has likely shaken your sense of certainty — even if you’re used to being capable and steady. I work with insightful, self-aware adults who are navigating experiences that have disrupted their confidence, trust, or direction. My mission is to help you process what feels overwhelming at its root so you can feel solid in yourself again.

Over time, I’ve seen how insight alone isn’t always enough. Many of my clients I work with are highly self-aware and understand their patterns deeply — yet still feel stuck or unsettled and are ready for a deeper level of change.

That’s why I specialize in EMDR and depth-oriented trauma therapy. While traditional therapy focuses on understanding, EMDR allows us to work at the level of the nervous system — where those patterns are actually held. This approach allows us to work beyond analysis and support your nervous system in fully integrating what feels unresolved.

My Approach

Where Insight Meets Integration.

Therapy with me is steady, collaborative, and depth-oriented. I bring structure to our work while creating space for reflection and honesty. Many of my clients are insightgul, thoughtful and self-aware — they don’t need to be analyzed. They need a grounded space where what feels overwhelming can be processed safely and clearly.

My approach integrates EMDR with trauma-informed and attachment-focused work. We move beyond simply understanding your patterns and toward fully resolving what feels stuck. This means working not just at the level of thought, but at the level of the nervous system — where lasting change occurs.

What sets me apart is my ability to hold complexity without losing steadiness. I respect your intelligence and autonomy while helping you navigate what feels destabilizing. Our work is focused, intentional, and paced in a way that supports real integration — not just temporary relief.

Peek Inside My World

Outside of therapy, I’m drawn to quieter, slower parts of life — simple meals shared slowly, good coffee, fresh bread, and time with people I love. I’ve lived in a number of places over the years — I was born in Riga, Latvia, and spent parts of my life across Europe and Israel — which has shaped how I see people and the world, with a lot of attention to nuance and difference.

I naturally hold emotional complexity with steadiness and notice small shifts or subtle patterns that are harder to name — which is part of what draws me to this work.
