Yana Nogid, LMFT, trauma and EMDR therapist providing telehealth therapy for adults in San Francisco Bay Area and across California.

Hi, I’m Yana Nogid.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an EMDR trauma specialist based in San Francisco, offering telehealth therapy for adults across California.

I help adults heal from the emotional impact of trauma, anxiety, grief, and deeply rooted patterns of shame and self-criticism. My approach is gentle, grounded, and collaborative — centered on creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as you move toward healing.

I know how hard it can be to reach out for help, especially when you’ve learned to navigate life by being strong, independent, and holding so much inside. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to hold it alone.

My Approach

I integrate EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, IFS-informed work, and trauma-informed CBT to help you understand the protective parts of yourself, reduce emotional overwhelm, and create meaningful shifts in how you relate to yourself and others.

My work is:

  • Relational — your story and your pace matter.

  • Trauma-informed — safety is the foundation we build everything on.

  • Deep, but gentle — we honor your nervous system and move at a pace that feels right.

  • Compassion-focused — healing happens when we turn toward ourselves with understanding rather than judgment.

Together, we explore how past experiences shape the present — not to stay stuck in old pain, but to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected in your life today.

Why trauma work matters to me

Trauma shows up in so many ways — anxiety, shame, overthinking, emotional shutdowns, perfectionism, self-criticism, difficulty trusting, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. I’ve seen how deeply these patterns can affect a person’s sense of self, and I’m passionate about helping people experience relief, clarity, and internal steadiness again.

I believe healing is not about “fixing” you — it’s about understanding what happened, supporting the parts of you that have been carrying so much, and increasing your capacity to feel safe, connected, and aligned with who you truly are.

My values as a therapist

I believe:

  • Healing happens in safe, attuned relationships.

  • You deserve a space where all parts of you feel welcome.

  • Therapy is most powerful when it feels collaborative, not prescriptive.

  • There is no “right” pace for healing — just the one that honors your nervous system.

  • You’re not too much. You’re not broken. You’re not beyond repair.

You are human, you are resilient, and you deserve support that honors your story with compassion and care.

If You Feel Ready

If you’re considering therapy, even if you’re unsure or just curious. I’d be honored to connect and learn more about what you’re navigating. Taking the first step is often the hardest part, and you don’t have to do it alone.
