What to expect from EMDR and trauma therapy in California and Texas.

Let’s Walk Through What Working Together Looks Like.

Beginning therapy can feel uncertain. Here’s a clear overview of how it works.

How It Works

1. Schedule a free Consultation

Begin by scheduling a brief consultation call. This is an opportunity for you to share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure — just a conversation.

2. Intake & First Session

If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first full session and I’ll send you intake forms to complete prior to our appointment. In the first session, we’ll explore your current concerns, relevant history, and what you’d like to feel different. We move at a pace that feels steady and manageable.

3. Clarifying Goals & Building Foundation

Early sessions focus on building a therapeutic relationship, history taking, identifying what feels most important to address, and ensuring you have internal and external resources needed for the deeper work. This stage builds clarity and stability before moving into more focused processing.

4. Depth-Oriented Work

Once a foundation is established, we begin more targeted work using EMDR and trauma-informed approaches. This is where we process what feels unresolved so emotional intensity decreases and steadiness returns.

5. Integration & Thoughtful Completion

As progress unfolds, we focus on integration — helping the shifts you’ve made feel stable and sustainable in daily life. We regularly check in about how you’re feeling, what’s changed, and what still feels important to address.

Therapy isn’t meant to last forever. When you begin to feel steady, clear, and confident navigating challenges on your own, we’ll thoughtfully plan for completion. Endings are intentional — not abrupt — and designed to reflect your growth and readiness.

Fee Structure

I believe cost shouldn't be the reason someone can't access care. To make therapy more accessible while sustaining a high-quality practice, I offer three rates. You're welcome to choose the one that fits your circumstances — no documentation required.

Community Rate — $100

A limited number of Community Access spots are reserved for individuals, couples, and families experiencing financial hardship or limited access to resources.

This rate may be appropriate if you:

  • Have difficulty meeting basic expenses

  • Carry significant financial stress or debt

  • Are a student, caregiver, or early in your career

  • Have limited disposable income

  • Would be unable to access therapy at a higher fee

Community Access spots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If all spots are full, I'll let you know and can offer a waitlist or referral in the meantime.

Standard Rate — $150

This rate reflects the true cost of running the practice and supports my ability to continue offering Community Access spots to others.

This rate may be appropriate if you:

  • Consistently meet your financial needs

  • Have stable employment or household income

  • Can comfortably pay for occasional discretionary expenses

  • Are able to invest in your mental health without significant financial strain

Sustained Rate — $190

Choosing this rate helps create additional opportunities for clients who otherwise may not be able to access services — and directly supports the sustainability of the practice.

This rate may be appropriate if you:

  • Have a comfortable or higher-than-average income

  • Have significant financial flexibility

  • Regularly save or contribute to investments

  • Can comfortably absorb unexpected expenses

  • Would like to help increase access to therapy for others in the community

Questions?

If cost is a concern, feel free to reach out — I'm happy to talk it through. Contact Me page

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not work directly with insurance companies. This allows our work to remain private, flexible, and focused on depth rather than session limits or diagnostic requirements.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill for potential reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to inquire about your coverage.

Forms of Payment

Payment is accepted via Cash or Zelle.

Cancellation Policy

I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee. This policy supports consistency and protects the time reserved for you.
