EMDR and trauma therapy in California and texas
Insight is powerful — but it doesn’t always create lasting change. Through EMDR and depth-oriented work, we go beyond understanding your symptoms and unhelpful patterns and work at the level where they actually live, the nervous system — so you can feel grounded, clear, and like yourself again.
A Steady, Structured Approach to Processing What’s Stuck.
EMDR therapy with me is steady, collaborative, and thoughtfully paced. We begin by understanding the experiences that still feel emotionally charged and identifying what feels most important to address. You won’t be rushed into anything before you feel ready.
While EMDR involves structured processing, it is not about reliving the past in a destabilizing way. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (often through guided eye movements) to help your brain reprocess experiences that feel ‘stuck.’ This allows your nervous system to integrate what happened so it no longer carries the same emotional intensity.
You may already understand why you feel the way you do. EMDR helps resolve why it still feels this way.
Many clients notice that their reactions feel familiar — like they belong to something older. EMDR helps connect those experiences to your present-day self, so they no longer feel as overwhelming.
You can think of it like treating a cavity — first you gently clear out the decay and then fill the space with medicated filling to help it repair. Therapy is similar but with ‘emotional gunk’.

What Becomes Possible When the Weight Lifts.
Through our work together, it’s possible to:
Regain clarity about what you want and need
Make decisions from steadiness rather than fear
Process anger, grief, or confusion without being consumed by them
Move forward with confidence instead of constant rumination
EMDR doesn’t erase your history — it allows it to take its proper place. You don’t have to keep carrying this alone, and you’re not behind for needing support.
